Lee Thomas Walker, a fan of TWND, visits the USS TEXAS (BB-35) in drydock and honors us by wearing his Warrior Next Door T-Shirt. We can’t thank fans like Lee enough for supporting our show!

The USS Texas is the last Dreadnought-era battleship in existence. She has been in dry dock for the past year and will be open to the public in her new home shortly.

For more information on this historic ship and how you can donate to continue the preservation effort, please visit: https://battleshiptexas.org/.

Here is Lee’s pic of the massive “ram bow” of the BB-35…

And this pic shows Lee trying to push the rudder back to 0.0 degrees! The rudder has been stuck at 14.5 degrees starboard since the ship was steered into her berth in San Jacinto in 1948!

Tony and Ryan Walk Bill Parker’s Path on D-Day at Omaha Beach

After extensive research, Tony and Ryan find and walk the likely path Bill Parker took as a soldier who landed on D-Day in the first wave with the 116th Reg of the 29th Inf Division.

Currents swept his landing craft to the east away from his landing beach on Easy Green to Easy Red where he would've scaled the less well defended St. Laurent Draw.

This was filmed on June 6th, 2022 on the 78th anniversary of this fateful day. Join us as we walk in his footsteps…

Note: In the video I have east and west reversed.
